Mr. Lewis

I am writing tonight with a heavy heart, asking you to pray for Audra. So many of you who have read my blog for awhile know that she has been my best friend for almost 14 years.

Audra’s dad passed away early this morning (around 3 a.m.). He had been ill for quite some time but still his same spunky self and none of us expected it to be so sudden.

Please pray for Audra’s mother, her sister, and all of the extended family as they walk through this season.

He was an amazing man and lived a great life, and he will be so missed.

Thank you, friends.

Lord I ask that you would surround this family with many people who will support them, listen, bring some meals, and make them laugh. At about the 2 month mark of losing their dad they will feel lonely and suddenly begin to really grieve. Bring those same people around to comfort them and listen as they work through the deep pains of grief. Bring them all closer together as a family. Amen

And to everyone who knew and loved Mr. Lewis. Thank you for sharing that with us.

Angie, I just came across your blog today when reading Kirsten’s blog at Team Ewan. I spent the last couple of hours reading about Audrey and the rest of your family. The Lord has been drawing me to a few similar blogs for the last month or so. I am not sure why, but you and these other women are such an encouragement to me as you trust the Lord in spite of your painful circumstances. The Lord has brought me through some difficult times as well, but nothing that compares to losing a child. I honestly can’t imagine, although I am absolutely certain God would give me grace just as he has given you. But I have to admit if I am honest … I don’t want to experience that. My children are all grown and I have 5 grandchildren now. They are just as precious to me as my own children.. I praise God for his protection over all of them. I am thankful He has given you another precious girl for you to love on. They are all adorable.
Thank you for your transparency as you trust our Father.
