Thank You.

Well I cried myself to sleep last night and I’ll probably do the same tonight.

I am overwhelmed with gratitude and humbled at the {genuinely unexpected} response that my new book has gotten on B&N’s website.

I just wanted to take a minute to thank each one of you who has helped to do this…because it’s been hanging out here since yesterday:)

I don’t know any of the in’s and out’s of what this means as far as sales and all the behind the scenes stuff, but I told Todd that at the very least it made a pretty remarkable screenshot to show the grandkids one day :)

I believe in the message of the book and I have been praying constantly about those who will read it and see pieces of themselves in it. To all of you who have expressed excitement, shared about, purchased, or prayed about my book…thank you from the bottom of my heart.

If you would like to purchase it, please click here.

Thank you, thank you, thank you…

And OF COURSE I couldn’t go the whole day without reminding you that TODAY is the release day for Selah’s new CD “Hope of the Broken World.” I cannot tell you how much I love the music they have made on this project, but I promise it isn’t because I’m biased. It’s PHENOMENAL.

Todd and I are perpetually in awe that we get to do what we love and that we feel supported and loved. I just wanted you to know we don’t take a second of it for granted…

With love,

My amazing mother bought copies of your book for all of us girls, and I am BEYOND excited to read it! I loved “I Will Carry You” and I know I will love this one just as much. Your words speak truth and for that I am so thankful!!!

I got my CD last week.  I had forgotten I’d ordered it, so it was a pleasant surprise.  We popped it right in the car.  I loved it and the kids didn’t ask me to take it out – so I’d say it’s a hit with them as well.  I miss me some good SELAH hymns on this one (those are always my favorites) but I love the songs and the words within them.  I’m a big word girl.  So, now I just wait for my new book.  Hooray!  And thank you, Smiths, for what you do for the rest of us to enjoy.

  • JacquiLynn

My hubby pre-ordered a copy for me and I CAN’T wait to read it over & over again and tell even more moms like me about it. You’re AMAZING!

  • Erin

the book is amazing and speaks to my heart. We met in Indy at WOF and I shared my sweet Christian and our similar stories. (and I totally forgot to actually introduce myself, and apparently I do the crying gopher too!) Hi, I’m Erin :)
I started the book and I have been blown away at how relatable it is. So many of my fears became stronger when I lost Christian, specifically dealing with fear of losing other people and my living son. Thank you for helping me remember that God is ALWAYS in control and that I can give these fears to Him. Congrats on another great book that is going to transform many. Audrey is so proud!

  • Barbara Malley

Congratulations Angie! I ordered mine shortly after midnight on the 22nd.

    So happy for you.

  • Leslie Barton

Congrats Angie!  I purchased the book at WOF in ATL and I have read the first chapter already, and I think it’s gonna be great!  Fear is such a large part of life for me, and I’m sure many other women.  After having heard you, and getting the chance to meet you briefly at the book signing, I can say, that you are the most genuine, sweet , funny person ever.  Women from all walks of life can relate to women who are “real”.  I can’t wait to get the chance to meet you again at .MOM in B-ham next month!  I wish you great success with this book.  You totally deserve it…through your faithfulness, many women will be reached for Christ!  Audrey’s life and spirit live on in each life that is touched by you and your story!

The new Selah CD just arrived in my mailbox today!  One of my  4 year old twins boys heard “Be Still” and said, “Ooh, Mommy, this is MY song!”  The other twin saw the picture of Todd and said, “Who’s that?”  I replied, “That’s Mr. Todd.”  He thought for a moment and said, “I like his bald head.”  ;-)

Anyhoo, we play You Deliver Me on a daily basis (multiple times a day!).; truly, it’s probably my favorite worship CD of all time. l have a feeling that Hope of the Broken World will be the same!

And I absolutely cannot WAIT to read What Women Fear!  Congratulations on #1!!!  Ya’all are awesome and inspiring!  Much love and blessings to you!

I attended Women of Faith last weekend in Indy. I loved every minute and was extremely touched by your testimony. I am a mother/baby nurse and I have had to do what you discussed I can only imagine the heartache you have suffered but know from a nurse’s perspective we grieve, pray and suffer with you. I write poems and wanted to share the one I wrote from your portion of the conference……Whose We Are…..A heart breaking story we needed to hear…from a precious girl who struggles with fear…But we learned in the storm…God says come…We need not loose sight…with God it will be made right…Out in the storm not matter how far…We know whose we are.

  • Erin/Whatever Girls

Can’t wait to read it, congratulations!  I bought “I Will Carry You” for my good friend, but before I gave it to her, I read it in one night and loved it.  (She didn’t mind the tear and mascara stained pages.)  I knew a lot of the story from your blog, but it was nice to read everything together.  So excited to see how God is using you and your husband…Romans 8:28!!

I purchased it as soon as I read about it on Kelly’s blog.  I cannot wait to read this book Angie!  We all love and appreciate you so much!

Thanks for sharing your heart with us.  My Sunday School Class gave “I Will Carry You” to our Church Library, in memory of my recently lost Mother-in-law.   I will be giving one of your new book to our Library, in her Memory, as soon as I get my copies!
I am downloading the newest Selah CD and cannot wait to listen.  Thrilled to have some new Selah music!
Congratulations to you, Todd and Selah.  Thanks for sharing HIS word with all of us.

Psalms 139:4-6  For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether. Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.

“Moments Like These” is amazing – it is just the perfect song for me this year and I am so touched and blessed by it every time I listen to it. It reminds me of your post “Blink” and realizing which moments in this life are most special to us and most important. Heartbreaking and beautiful!

i don’t know if you’ve heard this- but I think you lost your feed to Google Reader. I didn’t realize until today that I hadn’t seen a post since May and that you had a new website. I had to re-subscribe to get your new feed in my reader and I’m pretty sure there are others out there too. FYI. Congrats on the book!

  • Stephanie Tyler

I have already purchased your book…I am SO excited to get it in the mail!  I have had the new Selah album from Itunes for about a week now..I preordered about a month ago…Ive been doing my C25K workout with it!  Love it…as always!  I have been listening since the first album..was actually working my way through college at Walmart in Conway, AR when Selah came and did a mini concert in the store…and yes i have my first album autographed! I  have been their biggest fan ever since!  :D    My favorite song on the new is Moments Like These…and When Love was Slain…I love them all but both of these make me cry!!!

Congratulations, Angie!  That’s awesome!  I’ll have to buy the Kindle edition when we’re in India.  You wouldn’t believe the huge stack of books I’m trying to bring with us into the country in our luggage already.  One thing I’ve seriously suggested to Sonlight (our homeschool curriculum)- “Um.  Awesome books.  Great curriculum, but PLEASE put pressure on the publishers to offer these in e-books.  Help a missionary out!”  :-)

Stopping by to let you know I’m still here praying!
Psalms 61:1-4 Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy. I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.
