Lisa’s Show!

If you have read my blog for any length of time, you know how much I love Lisa Leonard.

On the (in)courage beach retreat last month, I got to spend some one on one time with her and I decided I loved her even more. She gave me some brilliant insights into some life stuff I’m dealing with, and her calm, balanced approach to life helped me breathe deeper. I think you’ll see what I mean when you watch this video.

A production company has approached their family about doing a reality show, and this is the trailer for it. As we watched, Todd said, “Okay. I totally get why you love her so much…she is amazing. They all are…”

Seriously, this show will be such a blessing, and I think there’s a message in it for all of us.

Treat yourself to a few minutes with Lisa and the Leonard family…and prepare to fall in love with the whole bunch

I bought a few pieces in the past but honestly I’m sort of bummed that it’s more factory-ish now. I used to think she was hunched over a worktable in a little corner of her garage or something…it’s pretty clear that it’s more mass-produced now. I’d rather buy off etsy.

That’s awesome stuff. Sidenote, I like the fact that Steve, going into ministry, wears a backpack. As a pastor, I feel pressure to look more “grown up”…but you can’t escape the great functionality of a backpack, really.

This is my first time on your blog. Over the weekend I attended the M.E.N.D. Walk to Remember in Irving, TX and your sister-in-law was the guest speaker and singer. This was my first MEND Walk…I miscarried in March, 2012. Prior to the walk, my mother and mother-in-law gave me a little gift…inside was two of your books, Mended and I Will Carry You. I had just recently purchased Mended and have been going through it everyday. And, a sweet friend was telling me about the other book, I Will Carry You, and how I needed to read it. When she brought it to me on Sunday it was the same one I received the day before. Well I started reading that book at lunch today. So I just had to come check out your blog…and the first thing I see is how much you love Lisa Leonard. I LOVE her too! I have several of her necklaces and follow her blog. Super-excited about the show! Thank you for putting your testimony out there for women like me.
